Discover student ideas at the STEM Showcase

Join the Cedar Grove STEM Showcase on Thursday, October 22, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the Learning Commons. Students and families can explore school learning through questions, explanations and conversation. Ask a student what they tried, what they learned and what they would investigate next. The evening celebrates curiosity and thoughtful problem-solving across grades 9–12. Families and staff are welcome to encourage our fictional young researchers.

Plan ahead for Friday’s Minimum Day

Friday, October 16 follows Cedar Grove’s Minimum Day bell schedule, with instruction beginning at 8:00 AM and dismissal at 12:30 PM. Students should check their assignments and bring the materials needed for all seven shortened periods. Families can plan pickup around the earlier dismissal. The shortened school day does not change the separately listed Athletics contest that evening. Please consult the saved school calendar and bell schedule for the day’s period times.

Homecoming thanks from the Owls

Thank you to everyone who helped make our October 9 Homecoming Pep Rally and Homecoming Celebration welcoming school gatherings. We recognize fictional student volunteers Avery Cedar and Jordan Fern for modeling teamwork, including classmates and helping care for shared spaces. Their example reflects the Owls spirit: contribute, encourage and belong. Thank you to students, families and staff for celebrating Cedar Grove together. This recognition is part of our fictional demonstration school.

Club Fair connections: keep exploring

Thank you to the students and families who explored our September 16 Club Fair in Cedar Courtyard. The Owls community grows when students share their interests, listen to one another and try something new. Students who are still deciding can ask a staff member about the clubs introduced at the fair. Families can help by discussing one activity their student would like to explore this fall.
